Last Friday we went to Etihad Stadium (aka Docklands Stadium – as some day Etihad will decide to stop paying for the venue’s naming rights) to see Pearl Jam … uh … jam. They were awesome. Ben Harper and Liam Finn were the opening acts.
Eddie Vedder played solo on stage at one point and was amazing, they also covered Teenage Wasteland and The Needle and The Damage Done. He was great at catering to his audience – made footy comments throughout the show, and teamed up with Liam Finn towards the end of the concert to cover one of Australia’s many unofficial anthems, Throw Your Arms Around Me by Hunters & Collectors.
I didn’t bring my Flip video camera, unfortunately, but did take a few videos on my phone – hope they come out OK…
