I’ve decided to retire the original M2M blog, and move all posts over to this new domain, and new look & feel. For those who are not familiar with M2M, it was a blog I kept while living in Melbourne from September 2009 to January 2010. Here’s some info from that blog’s pages:
Why Montreal to Melbourne?
I’m Daniel, and I might be a little too old to be doing this now… But to me, there is no better time than now! I left my job, my home, my family and my friends to move to Australia – about 21 hours away by (direct) air.
Why Australia? Why Not Another Country?
I have always had an obsession with Australia, but until my move to Melbourne in September of 2009, have never even been down under. I plan to find a great job, an awesome apartment with my mate Timmy (that’s right, I called him my mate – just getting used to the local “cool talk”), and really live it up down under.
What will You miss?
Wow, that’s a tough question. I’ll miss a lot! I’ll miss my family – parents, sisters, brother-in-law, nephew, grandmother, aunts and uncles, and cousins. I’ll miss my friends, my coworkers, I’ll miss a cold winter with lots of snow (and no, I’m not being sarcastic – ask anyone who really knows me), I’ll miss skiing, I’ll miss Utah and Whistler, I’ll miss the Olympics in Vancouver, I’ll miss going to Als and Habs games, I’ll miss my car, my house, my bed, my TV, my Illico, my DVDs and Blu Rays, my PS3, my bike (Ramona the Ellsworth Epiphany), my BlackBerry, and so much more…
What’s In Melbourne?
I hope to fill this page in time, but right now, the most important thing that’s in Melbourne is my good friend Timmy. He’ll be my friend, my family, my guide, my agent, and my roommate.
